Stepping into the cornfield (VR Exhibition)
29.06.2021 @ PrivatePrint Studio
"Stepping into the cornfield" by Dragana Pendovska is the first virtual exhibition in the upgraded PrivatePrint’s VR Studio. The exhibition is imagined as a virtual journey of the spectator in a cornfield. Nature and the artificial intertwine to show the ambiental possibilities of virtual reality when it comes to presentation of contemporary art and enables the spectator to communicate with the artist, with themselves, and with nature. Through this encounter of the spectator with a cornfield in a virtual gallery space, the artist’s concept as a subtext brings the pressing issues of our position towards nature.

PrivatePrint - VR Studio is a collaborative program for curating and designing virtual exhibitions. The program started with the idea of the architect and 3D designer Borko Hadjievski, one of the founders of PrivatePrint Studio and our long-time collaborator, who created the virtual version of our studio. The PrivatePrint - VR studio team curates, models, and designs an exhibition placed entirely in a virtual space on a given artistic proposal.
This year, the upgraded VR Studio is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia and made possible through our activities in the PrivatePrint Meets series funded by the Prince Claus Network Partnership Programme.
