PrivatePrint Arts and Culture Residency

A shared space for practice, exchange, and belonging

The PrivatePrint Art and Culture Residency program welcomes artists, curators, writers, researchers, and others interested in interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary art, socially relevant topics, and engagement with local communities.

At the PrivatePrint Residency, you can develop an ongoing interest, research, or project that you wish to extend in a different context, or you can start something new by learning from the people and communities around our studio. We work together to make your stay in Skopje and at PrivatePrint Studio meaningful. The residency is organized according to the needs of your research or project.

One of the most important outcomes we are happy to offer our residents is the opportunity to select and edit materials generated during their stay and feature them in a periodical publication by PrivatePrint.

Activities we can support include workshops, community engagement, small-scale exhibitions of materials and documentation, presentations and lectures, writing, research, explorations, and similar activities.

Selection process and criteria:

The residency program is ongoing, and you can apply any time during the year. The applications are processed as they arrive, and applicants receive an answer if they are selected or not, two weeks after they have sent their application. The residents are selected based on their concept, previous projects, and how they align with the aim of the residency and the PrivatePrint Studio practice.
